Tara Fields

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW)

Education

BA in Psychology from Washburn University 2006

Tara Fields is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Fayetteville State University and earned her master’s in social work through the Army Social Work Program in 2013.

Tara served a total of over 11 years in the Army (8 years on Active Duty and nearly 4 years in the National Guard in 2 states). Tara is the spouse of an active-duty officer and understands the stressors associated with military life. Tara and her husband Cody have 4 beautiful children ranging in ages from 4 to 12.

She resigned her commission to write a book to enlighten and educate our politicians and society about the military mental health crisis and suicide epidemic in the military.  Also in this book is a very personal account about Tara becoming the patient one evening. Tara treats patients with dignity and without judgment because she too has been in a place in which reaching out and asking for help was terribly difficult.

Tara has several years working with victims and offenders of domestic violence and with children in those homes. Tara is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a very helpful therapy modality for PTSD and many other disorders.

Tara focuses on trauma as a means of addressing the root causes of many behaviors that come as a result of one’s attempt to adapt post trauma. We will address the trauma in ways that will leave you no longer feel like you are merely surviving, but instead you go from surviving to thriving. You get your life back! Through an eclectic mix of EMDR, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), body based trauma therapy, psychoeducation, and skill building around self-regulation and calming skills, we together will have you much happier, much healthier, and more relaxed progressively in days, weeks, and months. Tara loves her patients, but it is important to note that her job is to provide you the tools to self-regulate your emotions, and to cope with life stressors, and then get you to a point where you no longer need a therapist because you are not only living again, you are THRIVING!

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD tendencies, marital difficulties, traumatic stress, ADHD, or any other mental health condition, you can rest assured that your care will be tailored to your individual needs. Tara witnessed first hand how detrimental systems that merely “check the block” on people’s lives do and you can expect that you will never be treated this way at T4 Therapy.

Give Tara at T4 Therapy a call today to start your journey to healing and thriving! You are never alone!

Megan is Texan by birth and German at heart! Married to a German, she and her husband Ingo have one amazing child together.

Megan joins T4 Therapy after having served over 15 years in the Army. She has struggled throughout her military career and persevered as a patient herself. Megan will continue to support those that are struggling and guide them down the path of self-awareness and empowerment. While empathetic, she will challenge you to get out of your comfort zone and work together on a treatment strategy that best supports you.

Prior to acceptance into the MSW Program, Megan became a victim advocate (VA) for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault with TESSA, an organization in Colorado Springs, CO. Utilizing her skills as a credentialed VA with the military and incorporating them with TESSA’s Confidential Advocate training, she volunteered her time to meet with clients at the hospital, guiding survivors through the court’s temporary protective order process, and working with children impacted by domestic violence.

Megan utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to hone in on what is currently impacting you and as the therapeutic relationship develops will further explore any trauma, including Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE), in order to heal and THRIVE as the person you were always meant to be!
